Turning Radius 2013 Ambassador 40 DFT

I have a 2013 Holiday Rambler Ambassador 40 DFT and the turning radius is terrible. Does anyone know if the turning radius can be reduced? it's on a Roadmaster frame.

The first thing I would do is find out if your steering is going full travel. If it is then there is nothing more you can do.

Turning Radius

Thanks for responding Dennis.
There appears to be approximately 2 inches of travel before it reaches the stop, so I'll ask roadmaster if it will make a difference.

You would think that on a 2103 chassis the wheel cut would be as high as 60 degrees with a minimum of 55.

What is the wheel base? Our coach has 279 and a 60 degree cut. It turns pretty well.

eddie0,

If it not hitting the stops (the ones between the axle and the spindle) then what is stopping it?

Does it turn the same amount right and left?

If nothing is hitting it may be the steering box is hitting it's internal stops. Do you know if you have a Sheppard or TRW box?

Make sure the chassis is at ride height when doing steering checks, if is low the tires may contact the fenders.

Pictures may be helpful.
