TV air antenna

My antenna outside cable broke off at the top and bottom. Does anyone know where the outside cable transitions to the inside cable? I tried to trace it from the inside without any success? Thanks in advance.

Jim

Probably have to remove the antenna base if there is a connection it will be under there. If there isn't you can pull enough cable out to add one most likely.

Jim,

Are you talking about the cable on the roof where the antenna is or are we talking about the antenna where it comes out at the wet bay?

Either way, mine all come to the cabinet above the drivers left shoulder. Inside that cabinet there is a false panel. I found all my cables inside that compartment.

I'm talking about the roof antenna to the inside cable. The outside cable is smaller in diameter than the inside cable so there has to be a transition somewhere.I'm assuming it is under the sealer but wanted to see if anyone has run into this before I start removing sealer.

On my Newmar there is a connection above the roof just under the antenna.

On my 2009 Cayman the cable from the antenna goes forward and thru a plate on the roof. If you lift that plate there is a straight connector that joins to the coax inside the coach. Just renew the price from the antenna to the connector and it should be fine.

I agree with the earlier poster. The top cable has to be pulled out to get to the terminal where the outer and inside connect. You’ll likely need to get under the antenna base to do that. If you only see the antenna base connection, with no outside lines, except the one going to the base from the antenna head, the feed line is under the base.
