TV behind the slide out wall!

On my Monaco Vesta the TV is mounted behind the slide out wall which requires the slide to be our if you want to watch TV. Makes it very difficult to stealth camp, stay at a roadside stop, stay at a truck stop or just about anywhere besides a full blown camp ground!. The wall across the rig fro the slide is the galley area, with no where to mount a TV, and we're not 'in bed' TV watchers. Hummmm! Has anybody with a Vesta relocated their TV and if so where did you put it?

Thanks, but we have a 32 and we don't have that space in ours.

You may need a special harness or bracket with swivel.

I looked at a rig like yours on RV Trader.

Only option that I see that might be possible is to get a drop down type and mount it above passenger and driver seats, this limits the position you could view it from though.

Other options would to have a cabinet shop modify the cabinet frame where the current TV is located and put it on a slide with pivot frame so you could pull it out and view it when the slide is in. This way you could still have access to the back if the slide is in.

Or you could just carry another TV and bring it out and use it when you can't use the other one. Might be able to rig up a mount with quick release to make it easy to set it up. I did this so I could watch TV outside, rigged up a mount in the basement compartment.

It is amazing that they would mount a TV like that.

Our fifth wheel was configured like that as well. If we were somewhere that we could not extend the slide we watched in the bedroom or on our laptop. I had never thought of carrying a portable TV but that is a great option, wish I had!

TV's are so cheap now that it's a viable option having a spare, that way you could watch it outside if you want. They are also extremely light now. Just bought a 43" 4k smart TV for $220, it weighs ~15lb.

All good ideas. Thanks to all of you. I should have known that the solution wouldn't be easy when I bought the rig in December. If you sit in the booth you strain your head to the right. If you sit on the couch you strain your head to the right. If you sit in the captains chairs you can't recline! I should have known better but before me the coach company should have known better! I think the TV placement was an after thought. They built a beautiful, rather high end coach then said, "Oh crap! Where can we put a t.v.!" I thought an electric drop down would work then I started looking at the prices. Highway robbery! $2k and above. Even an inexpensive one and I run into the fact that Monaco used no real plywood in the roof structure. It does have aluminum I beams in the roof, but I really hate to start cutting into the padded surface to 'try' to place a mount. I may end up carrying a spare and after dinner placing it on the kitchen counter top so I have a straight view from the couch! OR, if anyone has a Home theater setup I'd appreciate hearing about it. I've looked at short throw projectors and that's doable, but the projector would need to go in the slide out and the cable in a chase under the rig. Then I would need a spiral hose to house the cable so when the slide comes in the cable can retract somewhat! That's because the entertainment center (receiver) is on the opposite side of the coach. I have power in the slide so that's not an issue. Just looking for ways to make it work, but they really don't make a spiral cable holder! I've considered pushing a cable through a spiral air pressure hose. Maybe that would work! Ideas????
