Has anyone see a post or have removed the TV cabinet and cut it down and reinstalled it to mount a flat screen. Seams to me that would ad to the flexibility of mounting a new TV.

I did just that with my Dynasty. After removing the big glass bomb from the cabinet, I unscrewed the cabinet and cut it down. I think I took out 6 inches in height and 10 inches in depth. After reinstalling the cabinet, I secured a piece of 3/4" plywood to mount the bracket for the 32" flatscreen. A couple small holes in the bottom of the cabinet allow for screwing down the tv so it doesn't slide around. I removed the video switcher and connected a satellite box and Blu-ray player to each tv.

here is my salon TV and bedroom mods cut both down, could not narrow up cockpit box as it was tapered

I did an 03 Panther, the top rail was screwed from the top, had to cut the screws. If you take the box to a cabinet shop they can do the cut down with a "laser" blade, very fine tooth, and you won't even see the joint. $30 well spent to not mess up the wood unless you have a really good workshop.

It cut the height by 6" an depth by 4"....no more head knocker!!!

Thanks for the info and encouragement. I think that is just what I'll do. My thought is to go with a 40 inch and turn the bedroom hole into a closet. we really don't watch much TV.
Now all I have to do is get this neck brace off from hitting my head on the dam thing I'll get started

Sorry about not getting pix to you, the coach has been winterized and not nearby. In the bedroom, I took out the 13" in the corner and made a door out of spare trim from the old tv and inserted a dark-tinted plexiglas panel. That now houses the DirecTV receiver and Blu-ray player. The new 32" is attached to a side-mounted arm and covers part of the bedroom window. Still lots of light coming in.

Not all cabinets are built alike -- The lower end coach`s cabinets (where the TV & side cabinets are) are built in one piece, & installed as such -- The high end coache`s cabinets are individual, & are much easier to remove the TV cabinet -- The others, you may have to remove the cabinet stick by stick -- When you move the cabinet back, the sides of the side cabinets may not be finished on the lower end coaches -- I`ve done both, & believe me, experience is not the best teacher -- Bill Willard

Bill thanks for the heads up on the cabinet makeup. I have looked at that and the TV box is separate. I'm not sure weather the left side cabinet is finished in the area that will be exposed as my TV is over the drivers seat but at least there is no wiring coming in from the left side in the area that will be exposed. I also have a good friend who is a master cabinet maker.
