I had one of these installed by the Cummins rep Jack Markin (574-535-8448) when I was at the Elkhart service facility. The claims are it increases power up to 30 HP, improves fuel economy by .7 mpg, reduces fan noise and unnecessary air blast over radiator, reduces radiator maintenance, and increases heat available to dash heater. The fan locks in when the coolant temp reaches 210 degrees. The cost was $725 and took him about an hour to install. My engine is quieter with this fan blade and the temp all the way home never went over 192 degrees. That means it sayed in the low range all the time. It was hard to tell if it made any difference in the fuel mileage. I was hitting strong headwinds most of the way.
