Ugh - just did 10 hrs - Tex to Memphis with no radio

Worked fine when I replaced the speakers last Sat. Now no power..

Fuse looks good in bedroom bay.. Will check voltages in daylight..

Even went so far as killing house power and switching back on.

TVs work..
If all else fails I can just plug a mp3 drive in a laptop..

And the brand new wipers dont clear the area right infront of my eyes.. pass side is perfect..

You might have a second fuse under the dash like I do.

Many of us that had 32" wipers went to 28" wipers to alleviate the missing patches while wiping. Sometimes the spring gets weak, so the contact pressure is not great enough to keep from skipping. You could verify by swapping the wipers.

Will look at larger wipers. The arm just doesnt make contact with the glass 2/3s down.

Hit it with rainX for the time being.

EDIT Wiper - Looked at the wiper arm - it would be kind of hard to switch springs. When the arm is pulled down the spring is under more tension. Looks like it would have to be disassembled. Says Dyna - Made in Brazil. . hmm

Got 12V to rear panel for radio circuit. Will check dash. Hopefully not a toasted radio..
Edit - RADIO - also getting 12 at the radio toggle right beside it... doesnt sound good..

thanks

Jimmy,

Read Harry's post again , he is saying go to a smaller wiper blade .
Also make sure the rubber is free to flex in the metal frame .

Does your coach have a switch to sw the speakers from TV to Radio ?
Mine has that sw but some don't , it has caused many people headaches .

No metal frame - beam type - single rubber blade

And these are 28s/29s.

Jimmy, I was meaning take the two complete arms off and swap them, not just the springs. Sorry for the confusion.

If one of the speakers has a loose connection or a short, it will shut down all of the speakers. Does the radio power on but no sound ? If so, this may be your problem.

Just a thought, have you checked the position of the dash mounted radio switch and/or the bedroom radio switch? Had the bedroom switch get flipped one time, no radio until we figured it out.

Actually, the bedroom switch is up for on and down for off - no red paint to indicate on nor is there an Light to indicate power..

But, it didnt make any difference either way.

Getting 12v to the wires going into the radio.. I guess it just decided to crater after I replaced the speakers..
:-(

But the cummins is happy - showing 9.8 mpg for 1004 miles - 105gal used..
avg speed 52.7mph - cruise set a 62 mostly.

Don't you hate when that happens!

On another note your fuel mileage was great! Hope it's not related to the radio problem.
