Corkey, I don't know if you are trying to operate the lock while the door is open or not, but mine won't lock or unlock the entry door unless it's closed. I can lock and unlock the bay doors with the entry door open but I have to use a different code.

The electronics are connected through contacts between the leading edge of the door and the door frame. The bays are wired seperatly.

Now that I understand how it works, I grin every time I push a button.
