I just can't seem to figure this out, ... !!

My coach has the key fob with the touch-pad grab-handle. The key fob works fine, the lock button on the grab handle works fine. BUT, I just can't seem to get the default unlock code to work, so I must be doing something wrong.

The default is 1-2-3-4-4, followed by (I think) a press of the (1) button to unlock the coach, but nothing happens. I've tried to set my own code and it seems to take, but still no response to unlock.

I think I'm following instructions to the "T", but I guess my "T" is different than Tri-Marks.

I would call the dealer today, but techs take Sat/Sun off. I'll call them Monday, but if anyone here knows the code operating secrets, I would sure appreciate a quick lesson.

Use this TrMark page link, input your coach, model, and year for the manual.

http://www.trimarkcorp.com/en/eask.aspx

On my coach, I beleive you can unplug the TriMark control box and replug it in to go back to the original factory settings. I have not tried that because mine works fine...just seem to remember that from reading the manual package. If Monaco Tech Support can't help you, try using http://www.trimarkcorp.com/en/Technical.aspx

Mine unlocks by entering the 5 digit code plus the 1/2 button.

Good luck

My 2008 Camelot works just as you described, although I have since installed my own code. When I used the Monaco default code it was 1-2-3-4-4 followed by a 1. But if the lock is already open you can barely hear the lock operating. Try pushing number 1 and it should lock then try the default code. Good luck. Bob

MM

I'm holding off from tech support for a while.

A couple of weeks ago I called and asked for the build sheet and electrical diagrams for my coach. I received a file (email) for the diagram, but it was in Autocad format, unreadable to me. I called back and asked for the PDF version and was still waiting for build sheet, got another Autocad. I replied to the email asking again (very politely) for both, ... now nothing. It looks like they would prefer to avoid me, ... ?? I've been through three people, they have always been polite, (so have I) but I just can't seem to get any results beyond conversation.

I did manage to get my hands on the DVD with all of the electrical files through another motorhomer.

I will call them later if need be, but this forum is full of "tribal knowledge", usualy very accurate and undocumented, in other words "priceless". So I just had to ask.

Absolutely nothing happens, but if I hold the (1) button for a couple of seconds it does try to lock the door again. I was thinking there may be an issue with the timing of button presses, but I've never seen that as an issue with other keypads.

Maybe I just need a demonstration by one of the techs, then again there may be something defective about the unit.

Oh, and I went to the Tri-Mark web site. They have the same instruction manual as I have. I did look at the installation instructions for kicks, but nothing there that will help.

Sacs, your okay.

I did download the reader so I could check out the diagram. It was one of many and for a 2005, last revised Oct 2005. My 08 has a new configuration so what they sent me was of no help.

The PDF's I managed to get are many, and all specific to the 2008 Endeavor/Diplomat.

I was fun to look at the Autocad though, I found them interesting.

Thanks again. -Corky

Corkey, I have been looking at the available options for the Endeavor's and cannot find any listing for a outside key pad. Is it possible that the wrong grab handle was installed and is not hooked up to a 12V source?

Eureka, ... I found it, my problem that is.

I didn't use the Authority code correctly when setting up my access code. The manual is correct, just somewhat confusing. Everything works just fine now.

Drifter, the Scepter/Dynasty use the same key fob as the Endeavor/Diplomat, but add a grab-handle keypad as an upgrade. I just had it added to my Endeavor as a perk for the MH trade. Makes for a good conversation piece
