Valid Air only Leveling question

I'm trying to find time to call Valid in the next day or two but I'm stuck at work when they are open. I've emailed them and they have gotten back and suggested a call.

I was just wondering if anyone ever had an issue where the keypad shows a fault and beeps while driving. The travel mode is engaged, I have no other lights other than the fault light. When I stop it stops beeping, the fault light stays on unless I hold down power and reset the system, then it will level via manual or auto.

Once I go to travel mode I go right back into fault in about 30 seconds, and the beeping continues if over 3 miles per hour.

Valid diagnostic manual attached

Sounds like a communications issue. This manual might help. Read the procedure for testing and disable. Click on the "attachment symbol" to get the PDF.

Thank You, I've been all over that manual already. I did have a communication fault a month ago and found a corroded wire where the insulation was cut and the wire turned green and fell apart. I fixed that and it was working fine, for a while. Now when I get a fault light and beeping in travel mode (when moving) there are no other lights lit up so no indication of where the error might be.

To my dismay I came home last night and the bus decided to raise to the max on left front, and lower to the ground on right rear. The bus was so twisted the windshield popped out. I'll be calling Valid later today for tech help. I might have a bad control board.

I'm nearly done with motorhomes....

Yikes!

May want to leave the system powered down till you get this issue resolved.

For sure, I got the windshield back in but it will need to be done by a pro once I get this all figured out. I talked to Valid service tech today, man they are super helpful and friendly. It is looking like the main issue is a bad valve, the keypad is working perfectly and all the leveling works when you rest it, it seems to be all on the ride height valves, and or tag axle solenoid valves. These are the only things that do not show a light code when there is a fault. Now for the fun of climbing in and under, safely and checking all the solenoids resistance for 1 ohms.

In the meantime I have dumped all air and it is sitting low so it can't do anything, the aux compressor is disconnected I'll post some pictures later.

We are researching for threads about Valid leveling and found yours. Curious about how your resolved your issue, because it sounds a bit like ours. Would you be so kind as to post an update?

I had the same problem. Listened to that "beep" for 2,000 miles till we got home. Tech thought a solenoid. As I recall it was a controller, valve and solenoid. Been several years now and strange things come and go with the air only Valid system that I have. Many times putting in "manual" mode and fooling around will set things back to normal. Excellent tech help at Valid/Power Gear is a plus. Back to your problem, a simple fix like a solenoid was not my problem. Getting under the coach to get to the components is also a challenge. Good luck.

I had trouble with my Valid when I first bought the coach about four years ago. It wasn’t staying level while parked for more than a few hours. Travel mode was messed up too, as I was low on the driver’s side.

I pulled the Valid panel out and called Valid. They told me my panel needed replacement at a rather high cost. They said it likely rusted from moisture, being located directly under driver’s window. However, mine showed no evidence of moisture or rust.

I reinstalled the panel and it has worked without a glitch since. It was powered off for about two hours.
