Velvac mirrors flutter and distort my view.
I have the pretty standard (I think) Velvac mirrors.
My top large mirror really flutters both left and right side. I assume more from air flow suction than anything.
I put some tape on them to try. Still have flutter. anybody have this issue and solve it?
I thought about some weather strip/door seal between the edge of the mirror and the housing... Really never adjust them once they are set.
Thanks

I thought I had Velvac mirrors as well. The small lower mirror lens had fallen off and broke. I contacted Velvac as that was the manual in the coach when we bought it. Velvac informed me that they didn't make that mirror, but instead told me it was probably made by Ramco Engineering. Contacted Ramco and yes they made the mirror, so I was able to get a replacement mirror !!

I have Velvac Tri-heated mirrors and they do not distort from 0 - 80 mph and I have had them apart to replace the peeling chrome covers and re-assembled and nary a issue.
Happy Trails

There are some metal clips that attach to the mirror glass and touch the housing. The purpose is to hold the glass steady within the housing. I took mine out in an effort to increase the range of adjustment. While I got some additional range of motion I also got a large amount of what you describe as "flutter". Putting the clips back in eliminated the flutter.
FWIW

Thanks CoCo Dave. I will see if I can locate these clips online. Something needs to stabilize the top large mirror. They are about useless to me.
