Visone RV ? Has anyone used these folks for used parts ?
That's the question. I left my patio awning up by stupidity, and of course it pored down rain and put a 6 in bow in the main roller. Visone has a few used awnings both manual and power for sale at what looks like a fair price. I'm also thinking of getting a drivers window that's not fogged as well as possibly other parts I might find. I'll only be a few hours from there location in a couple of weeks.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
John

I crunched-up a cargo door and Visone found a replacement and gave me a quick quote (but shipping was a killer price .... not their fault). I wound up repairing the door myself and then used a pro to paint it. My interaction with them indicated that they were a quality shop.

Thanks for your input. I know I had almost decided the shipping was a deal breaker, than realized I would only be 200 miles from there location when I'm in great smoky mt np and they have camp sites for $ 20.00. So here I go I hope it all works and I like an electric awning.

Unfortunately (for my piggy bank) I needed a few parts. I found their price reasonable and service (removal and shipment) was outstanding. UPS cost quite a bit but that's the way it goes with heavy parts. I highly recommend them.

Got a used onan diesel generator from them it was a worn out over priced piece of junk. I would never do business with them again.

I have only purchased a few small things from them, I am under the impression that they believe that their parts are coated in gold. I am not to likely to buy anything big from them.
One thing I really didnt like was the attitude, I once made a statement to the fact the I could buy a new part for what they were asking for a well used part, the response I got was well if you dont like it then dont buy it. I took my business elsewhere.
It has been my experience that salvage yards charged about 50% of new pricing.

That has not been my experience. I found them to be friendly and courteous.
As for pricing, I don't expect a bargain. If you are looking for a part that can't be purchased new (like a significant body part), the price is the price.

Yes I bought a sliding battery tray from a 2005 Dynasty so I could add a second drawer of batteries, there prices were a tad higher than I would have liked, but they had the part, I got it quickly and it was in very good condition, the big thing they had the drawer

Bought a sleep number pump from them, it did not work so I complained and they sent me another one, had to pay for shipping. Over all decent to work with and reasonable pricing I thought.

I have found their prices to be almost the same as new parts. Pointed this and got a price reduction on a Monaco drive wheel hub.

I purchased a used low hour Onan generator from them last year. Originally they only had generators with +1000 hrs in inventory so I decided to wait and requested they call be back when they had a low hour unit come in. They called and I agreed to purchase, my wife drove the RV to their location and they installed, my wife said they were very good to deal with them. I did as that they keep the old generator that they swapped out and I would pick it up. My travel scheduled resulted in a ~1 month delay but they had the generator when I got there which I ended up selling to try and recoup some of my cost.
I walked through their warehouse, one of the parts managers gave me a tour, they had lots of stuff and lots of salvaged RV's in their yard.
I also needed a piece of aluminum trim that the basement doors mount to. This trim was not in stock anywhere so this was my only option. They charged me dearly for it but they did have to take it off another RV & cut it to length. Beggers can't be choosers.

I am working with them on something just now.. One of the parts I need they have, good price, looks very good on paper, I may deal with them or not, this is a major part so part of the job will be saving up cash (or paying down a loan so I can re-up it, revolving type) should take 1-2 years.
Another part I need they do not have but gave me the best price on NEW I have seen to date.. So I will likely go with them on that.
Plus there is some other stuff I need but that too will be new when I put it on... Alas, I have to put that stuff on, Thankfully I have the tools needed.
