Voltage Gauge Stopped Working

While driving today the needle in my voltage gauge laid down to the left side (looking like it died). My Aladdin system confirmed all was well so I knew the alternator is fine so, now I begin to troubleshoot. Any suggestions on where to start looking?

I can't help you with where to start looking but I can tell you that monaco installed 2 voltage sensors/senders on our coaches. One is for the ECU and the second was added for the dash guages. Fortunately I haven't had to repair one of mine I'm not sure where they will be located. I'm sure someone will be along soon that does know. Good luck

From you picture, it looks like you may have a mid-2000's Monaco? Our '06 Dynasty has a rectangular cover on top of the dash that gives access to the back of the instrument cluster. You might find the "hot" connection on the voltage gauge, and see if voltage is present. I've had some luck troubleshooting various problems behind the instrument cluster.

You might add your coach year and model to your side bar info. You may be more likely to find the right person to be able help you.

Thanks for sharing your insight and the suggestion. I will open up the dash this afternoon and take a look. The coach is a 2004 HR Navigator. Great suggestion on updating my tag, I have now done this.

You can contact Monaco. They can give you information too about possible places to look and things to do. They may also have the schematics there to send you a copy so that you can do more things by your self.

You'd be surprised at how much information they can give you on your coach.

Removed the voltage guage and had it tested, it worked fine so I reinstalled it and it appears to be working. I'll leave well enough alone and see what happens.
