Voltmeter/Ampmeter Panel '01 Exec

One of the two analog voltmeters displays about 35v instead of the usual range at around 120v. If I thump the back of the meter it registers correctly. Within 24 hours it's back to around 35v.
I'd like to replace it with an identical meter and wonder if anyone has a source.
OR: Replace the entire voltmeter/ampmeter panel with digital. If that is done, are the existing ampmeter transformers usable for the new digital meters?
Obviously I'd have to re-engineer the panel to hold the digital...but not a problem.
Suggestions?
Pictures show the back of the meter in question and the full panel. The meter in question (upper right) is functioning in the picture. Tomorrow it will be back down to 35v.

Would need to know more, Tom. Your picture didn't make the trip. Hopefully it will include any model number information on your display unit.

Our '06 has the Surgeguard 40250 surge protection and transfer switch installed. Surgeguard offers an external display unit with voltage and amperage readout capability. Instead of that, our unit has a cable that runs from the Surgeguard to an Aladdin interface module. From there, it goes to the display unit on the dash.

Looking at an old picture, it looks like it might be a four conductor cable or wire group. That would be the absolute minimum number of conductors, as it could provide for a line 1 voltage, a line 2 voltage, a current out value and a common for all three parameters.

I am sorry I'm not near our coach to be able to look. But if we can see what your module looks like that you want to replace, it might be possible to answer your question more definitively.

This is about what it looks like under panel , see hole to zero what would be screw . This is just a first page google of "0-150 v ac analog " first one that looked right. Mounting may be real thin 2side tape, Dab of RTV,Dicor or hot glue in corners.

Thank you!

The picture and link to Skycraft surplus is perfect! Meter ordered.
Skycraft looks like a neat place to find old equipment.

Fantastic! A picture really can be worth a thousand words! Looks like it would take a fair amount of researching to find something that would replace the four. It would take probably one device with a push button or rotary switch to select the leg and parameter you want to see. What you have may not be leading edge technology, but it's a lot of useful information at a glance. Glad you found a path to a fix.

There are some Chinese-made amp & volt meter combinations available and I wondered if the ampmeter section could use the existing transformer coils which are located in the bedroom AC breaker box. If anyone has does this conversion I'd like to hear the results.

In bigger search I seen some with screws in similar location of what looks like rivets on yours. Anyway ampmeters should reference how many loops/winds on coil it is made to wirh. Just does the old one tell you or tag on the colis.
And Or the wire it checks is then also also wound through the coil per voltage requirement. Like 4 wraps for 120 once through 480 . its been a while since I dealt with hooking up Or repairing analog, mostlly mostly I'm tearing it out.

I'm sure I am not reading thread correctly and I must have missed something, looking at your photo both meters/circuits have 120 volts and one is showing higher amp draw,, seems like something is on, a/c, elec hot water etc. driving up the amp draw on that circuit.

In the original post I'd described the problem. Most of the time the AC meter shows about 35v. When rapped with a screwdriver head it shows the correct voltage, which is how the meter is pictured.
What I'd really like to do is replace the four meters with a digital setup. As you know, it would be complicated by the fact that the two ampmeters need a coil (essentially a transformer) wrapped around each AC line. That takes place eight feet away in the AC breaker box in the bedroom. It would be great to be able to use the existing coils. But...

Depending on how much work one wishes to undertake, Blue Sea Systems offers quite a selection of digital meters, which I have been considering.

One meter can measure both L-1 & L-2 power for volts, amps and frequency.

Most likely would need new Monitor Transformers, but could reuse existing wires, at least my hopes.

Good luck & Safe travels.
