With those Apps do you still need to go inside and check with the Manager if if is okay to park overnight - or is the App the "final says so"?

Also do any of those Apps take into consideration the size of Coach?

Meaning if Apps says parking is allowed does that mean my coach will fit in the parking lot and be able to make the turns in and out? I know there are some smaller Walmart grocery stores around me that would be a challenge to get through the entrance and make the turns into the lot (with my 42 footer).

Always pop inside talk to the service desk and they will confirm no changes in local bylaws and where they like you to park. This avoids being woken by the night delivery semi guys backing around you or having you move . We have found they usually park you well our of the way of deliveries and busy areas. Having an arm full of groceries or night's snacks doesn't hurt either.

I often go in (but not always) and ask. I use Google Maps satellite view to check out the grounds before "booking" a site at Camp Walmart. They use two different colors (white & yellow) to mark the parking lot. One color is closer to the store where you shouldn't park. The other color, for the most part, is open for ONP.

Ive never have went in and asked ..... done some shopping, but never asked.

Also, do any of those Apps take into consideration the size of Coach?

I always look for the truck entrances and exits ..... usually leaves for lots of room with no issues ...yet.

Not that I'm aware of...but I've yet to have an issue with my 40fter

I know there are some smaller Walmart grocery stores around me that would be a challenge to get through the entrance and make the turns into the lot (with my 42 footer).

Most cases I look for Walmart Super Centers and they have lots of room park and run the hounds both

They DO NOT want you pulling out your BBQ grill and all your gear ...very frowned upon and told that you will be asked to leave quickly.

As with any spot be aware of your surroundings as the fleabags know your there and are watching.

Happy Trails

We like Park Advisor. Very easy to use. It offers reviews and the store phone number. It also opens navigation with directions to the store. We always call the store to confirm RV parking is allowed. Many stores disallow but sometimes if you call, they will grant one night stay.

We drove from San Francisco to Michigan in the past two weeks, using Walmart’s for one night stay. Walmart’s in CA almost always disallow rv parking. We found many around the Denver area do too. Otherwise, we had little trouble finding a safe quiet spot in their parking lots.

Thank you Walmart.

Sometime it seems almost pointless to ask like when the lot is full of RVs already .

We stopped in Boseman late one afternoon it was cold and raining and there was
quite a number of RVs already there so we just joined them .
We went in to buy some things and when we came out I couldn't believe the RVs .
About a half dozen were Prevost pulling enclosed trailers so in this case it wasn't
just a bunch of poor folk .

Many times the city has ordinances prohibiting Walmart overnighting
So it may not always be the store

It's not just 'poor folk' that use Walmart parking lots! Plenty of us are traveling, and just need a place to pull over, stock up, eat, and sleep! We don't want to go miles off the hiway looking for some RV park, or unhook our toad!
