Want to replace SeaLand Electronic Toilet

Anyone done this? I was told by the guys at EliteRnR that you can't just drop a new manual toilet in place of the SeaLand 311 electronic toilet without building a platform.

I have all the flooring out to replace it, and now would be a good time to do this (an electronic toilet is one of more stupid applications on technology for not gain I know of) if I can figure out what is involved.

Don't have a Sealand, but I do have a Tecma. The problem is the plumbing. The electric has a smaller type hose going into the black tank. Mine has a merserator so the big stuff gets ground up before going down the tube. I really like me toilet.

Thanks for the reply RW, but mine is electric only in how it is controlled. It is a straight drop design into the tank.

I understand if the toilet is not over the tank you need some clever tech to get the stuff to where you want it, but not the case with ours.

Hi Distaff; If you are going from an electric to a manual flush toilet and it drops straight down to the black tank, I think the only think you would have to pay attention to is the instructions from your new toilet for the proper flange and flange height. Is yours a low profile or a high profile toilet? Low profile toilets usually sit on a platform. High profile toilets don't. Just follow the mounting instructions on your new toilet and I think you will be fine. Good luck in your decision.
