Warning Light
2001 HR Endeavor 38PBD, 330 Cummins Turbo.
Back at the house I had the "Warning " light illuminate on the dash. Next few days it never came back on. Left out this morning towing a 7x12 trailer, (weight approx. 3900 lbs). Around noon the warning light came back on. Shortly there after I noticed the engine was stumbling on acceleration. Got so bad I parked it for the night in a campground. There are no irregularities on any dash gauges. Fuel filters have less than 5000 miles on them. Air filter the same. Anybody have any similar experiences or suggestions.

What was the "warning" light you're getting?
If you get bad fuel or have an algae growth in the tank you can go through fuel filters it just a few miles. ALWAYS carry spares.

On the diesel engines return fuel system, by the time you've used a tank of fuel , it's all been through the fuel filters 7 to 10 times , so any contaminants in the tank get into the filters in a hurry.
For a Check Engine light , if you can't pull up a code to confirm the issue, and have checked all the fluid levels , replacing the fuel filters is the least expensive place to start.
Is your 330HP Cummins an ISB 5.9 or an ISC 8.1. , in coaches of your vintage both were available and rated at 330 HP. only the torque rating was different.
On an ISB a failing lift pump is also a possibility.

It was a "Warning" light. Not a Check Engine light. This an ISC 330 8.3l. But everything I'm reading is steering me towards the fuel filters. Will change them first thing in the morning and go from there.

On my 2013 Endeavour, low coolant can cause a warning light.

On my Imperial with the 8.3 I have a warning light as well as the Check Engine light. I had mine flash a few times and then it came on and stayed on.
When it first did it I changed fuel filters and there seemed no change. When the light finally came on and stayed on it stored a code. I shut the engine of and restarted it and it ran fine for a bit then re occurred.
To make a long story short the code was for the rear pumping element on the Caps Injection pump. I had to replace the top end of the pump. $2400. parts and labor.
If fuel filters don't cure the problem have your codes read. You may have a problem starting with your Pump.

Cummings shops have the means to read the code and tell the technician what to do to fix the problem. My "warning" light came on and the code pinpointed the problem to the speed sensor in the turbo had failed. Who would have thought? The new Cummins engines can be trouble "shot" over the air like "on star" does to automobiles. Why guess if you can find out what the problem is at your local Cummins dealer?

I had the same "warning" on my ISL, no engine light and a minor stumble, mostly noticed on up shifts. Cam sensor was bad, I replaced both of them. You will need to have the codes pulled to see what is causing it. And was that a fun job.....Nope
