Water back flowing problem

2004 Monaco Diplamat water back flows out of fresh water connection when hose is disconnected. Don't know how to check fill/city diverter valve. Thank you for any help.

Bad check valve. Google says http://www.irv2.com/forums/f54/city-...fix-31443.html

Fairly common... replace plastic one with brass if it fits easily.

Dan

I had the same problem on my Monaco Windsor and yes it was the check valve .

Mine was attached to the water valve in the wet bay , the one that selects tank
or house but its located behind the white plastic panel .

That panel is a bear to get out , I don't think I would try to remove it in the cold
it may crack .

You can stop the back flow for now by installing a check valve on the outside
of that valve where you screw you hose onto or an on & off valve or screw in
stopper . Those will work until you can repair properly

Mine only back flowed when I turned on the pump then it would pump the
tank dry .

I got lucky , a little piece of rubber washer was caught in my ck valve .

Thank you that is the problem, I cannot find a replacement check valve yet, but the old one seems to be working now after playing with the plunger, will reinstall today if I can not locate one. Thanks again
