Water Bay openings
I'm looking for ideas on how to close the openings in the bottom of the water
bay that occur when the 4 " covers are removed and the water hose, power cord and Sani-con hose are being used. We are concerned about the potential that mice, rats and snakes may crawl in to the coach at night.
Has anyone solved this problem? How?

Never had a problem with that but I guess you could stuff toweling around the gaps. You might check into one of those sonic pest repellers that you could plug in to keep things out.
The only critters that get in our coach are ants, they are virtually impossible to keep out. After placing barrier stuff around every part of the coach that touched the ground we had them get in. I found a blade of grass touching the bottom of the front axle, they were crawling up the blade and all the way to the rear of the coach and coming in thru an almost invisible crach in the seal material around the rear slide, Go figure.

If you are a FMCA member look in the back of any of their magazines I saw an add for exactly what you are looking for. It is a flexible collar you put in the big hole and then pass your sewer pip through. I am sorry I am at work and do not have access to my library.

I use a strip of 1 1/2" X 1 1/2" insulating foam I bought at Walmart for the sewer hose by pushing it around the hose to form a good seal. On everything else, I cross my fingers and knock on the bottom of the table while I state that I have not as yet had any critter/bug invasions.

I took a big sponge, traced around it with a Sharpie using the bulkhead as a guide, cut out the sponge. I did this for the electrical cord and the wet bay goodies. I then pass everything out, push the sponge into the opening, and it is sealed off quite well.
Cheap and effective for me.

Steve Kieffer...
Congrats on your new rig & Welcome to iRV2 and the Monaco Forum!! I read your post via email earlier tonight & just spent an hour looking for the same link that Pusherpilot provided for you ...I guess I should have looked to see that many others posted already.
I would like to also invite you to either help yourself to becoming a Member here on the Monaco Forum - or you can post here and I will add the "Monaco Club" tag under your name
Again..welcome...we hope you visit & post often!!

PS..for what it is worth...we have had good luck with none of the creatures you mentioned getting into the coach.

The RV Critter Guard looks like the perfect answer. Thanks for the info, this avoid hours trying to fabricate my own solution.

In a pinch I've used steel wool like you would use on finishing furniture.

I've shoved steel wool into some of the hidden holes I've found under cabinets, etc. Mice don't like to chew on that stuff. Can't say as I blame 'em.

I had some 1" thick foam rubber pads that were about 12" square, like you could find at any craft store. I cut one layer of foam to the exact size of the 4" hole and then another layer about 6". I used a spray adhehsive and glued the two foam disc togeather. This forms a sort of cap and plug for the various cables. I then cut a slit into the middle of the foam circles from the edge to allow the cables to slide in and out. I then sprayed a bug repellant on the foam and soaked it in. The system will work fine and no bugs or mice will get into the MH . I think it also acts as some insulation for the water bay in cold weather. I would post a photo, but this forum is a pain to post photos.

Hey Oh-One....it can be real easy now. When you post and you want to add a photo...you will find a section below your posting window which reads... Additional Options...the second section in that area reads " Attach Files". Click the Manage Attachments button and continue to follow directions... You can load a photo directly from your computer from this feature!!!
