Water filter

Today while I was cleaning my 2005 HR. Sceptre I took the louvered panel off that is under the 4 door refridgerator with an icemaker, which is on the drivers side slide out. I found a water filter on a water line that runs through this compartment. Is this the water filter everyone is talking about or is it only for the icemaker?? I cannot find my main filter under the sink which is on the passengers side. When we purchased our coach (used) we found a water filter and a chlorine kit in one of the basement compartments. But I don't know where it is supposed to go...perhaps I found it....or did I??? Any suggestions???

Thank you for any help you can offer me and my DW

Ted

1/4 inch nylon hose? It's only for the icemaker.

I think you will find that the undersink water supply line(to the seperate drinking water dispenser) has a link underneath that can be removed and replaced with the filter. The connection link is used when a filter is not in place and fairly easy to interchange with filter. If yours does not have the seperate water dispenser, it is possibly on the faucet line. Mine has a quick-connect adapter for the link and filter.
