1. With today's water supply is a filter really needed?
2. My current cartridge filter has a .5 GPM flow rate making the kitchen faucet pressure real low and slow. Will increasing the filter to a higher GPM flow rate say 1 GPM show any improvement.
3. Any good sources for cartridge filters with a higher flow rate?
4. When you run your water pump does it pass the water thru your filter or straight to the faucets? My pressure is higher when I run the pump while hooked up to city water.

Once I replaced the filter cartridge in my water filter that connects to the campground supply and found a dead spider in the bottom. Another time I found the filter to be brown in color from all the rust that came out of the campground water supply. I vote yes for the use of a water filter.

Richard, I vote yes for the filter as well. I even spray the campground spiget with a mixture of water and bleech. I have seen many times where someones pet dog is licking the spiget trying to get a drink. If a dog is doing this, then I assume other animals are trying to get a drink as well.

On the TT and 5er, I used an Omni filter I purchased from Home Depot. I made the decision based on what the filter was able to filter and the flow rate. We used it for the entire TT and 5er. Shower flow was never an issue. Now, the MH has a filter built in and is located in the wet bay. I am sure you will be able to solve the flow issue and keep the filter.
