Water Hose Reel - No Power - 2008 Scepter 42'

Hello all,

I searched previous threads but can't seem to get any leads on this reel issue;

My power hose reel won't retract, it was working and when I stopped the motor to wipe grass off of the hose it wouldn't start again?

I have checked the switch and connectors in the water bay, I have checked the fuse in the front electrical compartment - No luck. I have manually unwound the hose to check for anything obvious that would restrict the motor but nothing.

What have I missed on this one?

Thanks Adam.

I think there is a reset on the toggle switch itself. Take a light and take a close look at the switch.

I am referring to the water hose reel. I can't seem to find a reset on the switch itself. It appears to be a simple spring loaded white switch.(push on, springs back to off)

Are you referencing another switch that I missed?

The hose mfr supplied a resettable circuit breaker (4 amp) with the reel. Monaco usually mounts it somewhere close to the hose reel. Small, black plastic box about 3"x 3" x3" with a little rocker type switch that is actually the circuit breaker. They put it behind the utility bay wall on mine. UNMARKED of course. Look around...Good Luck

Adam,
The hose reel fuse is in the the bathroom fuse panel next to the multiplex modules. Fuse # 12 (10 amp) controls the reel. If it is blown, you may have a circuit issue, but try a new fuse first.

PM me your email and I will send you the fuse/relay chart I made for 2008 Camelot/Scepter.

Thankyou Happycarz;

I had checked the small group of fuses in this panel earlier today......#12 was labelled as "dump valves", never knew it covered the reel or thought to put a test lamp on this fuse because of the way it was named.

But as you have suggested it was the culprit. Hose Reel fixed!
I guess it pays to dig a little deeper with fuse issues.

Thank you.
