Just trying to fill the water tank via the tank fill valve, it overflows in this position not with the valve in the city water spot. any ideas what this tank is for? it only has 1 line going to it and its red.

A pic Is worth 1000 words but can be confusing and to judge size . Is it a smaller tank with a filler cap ? Do you have a winterize switch or valve marked.as such. Has Monaco ever provided a winterize tank system that can be filled Pink AF? I'm asking others here.

It only has 1 line going to it and it's red as in a hot water line, it's not hooked to the Waterhose reel

When it comes to RV build I wouldn't bet the farm on pipe color for red being hot. Didn't answer, if it's a small seperate tank. Or if you have winterize switch or special valve location. If it's a small tank tied to fresh water system all I can think of is winterize antifreeze tank or some sort of reserve added. These Monaco are already snowflakes who knows about every option or PO could made a change. If it's small tank tied to fresh water system, it's the first I have seen shared in pics. Can you trace the line or see a local 3way valve to it. I see manablock near by .

Interesting. You say it overflows but I dont quite understand what overflows. Is it the tank? Does it just dump it out on the ground? Is the empty valve for the tank open? Or a low point valve?

The hose to the tank could be two way. Both feeding the water pump and filling from the house/fill valve. A picture of the valve and its connections would help.

I would turn the water on (low), turn the valve to fill and see if there are any other shutoffs that may be open.

You didn’t answer the question if you had a winterize switch. If so, it is set to winterize and will overfill the antifreeze tank. Also, if the valve fails (as mine did), it will overflow if stuck in the winterize position. You need to locate the valve and you can temporarily switch the input lines until you replace the valve, or in my case, you can remove the solenoid and I now just switch it manually. My valve is located above the fresh water tank.

there is no winterize switch, i emptied all the tanks and lines this winter when i went to refill the fresh water tank via the city water/tank fill the tank in the picture which is just behind the hose reel next to the inverter. The tank overflows when the valve is in the tank fill position. Now i filled the tank via the gravity fill and the pump, pumped for a while and then no water when the pump still ran. The Swan ind. whatever it is there are two of them 1 above the watertank.Click image for larger version

That is the winterize valve. It could be manual if there are no wires to it

There may be a check valve chech valves in pump not holding, in my opinion. The water shouldn't back flow into tank. I guess it might if pump was running while hose is hooked up and valve to city on .
