Water pump

Need another fresh water water pump.
Have 2088-453-444 Shurflo 3.5 gal flow with a 7 amp latching controller.
What is everyone using?
I’ve gone through a few of this model and they like to leak at the housing.

I installed a Remco Aqua Jet. It was highly recommended and has worked very well.

Is this a question???

Most RV pumps put out about this much pressure. The pex plumbing is capable of handling the pressure.

My current pump has a 45# cut out.
This remco is 60# min and 75# max? Is that okay for pex? Also I have a 7 amp latching controller. I guess I need to go to a 10amp controller but will the old wire handle the increased amps?

The PEX will be fine. I'm a general contractor in NC. My plumber has to pump up the PEX lines to minimum 100 psi for inspector. He usually pits them to about 115 the day before so if the barometric pressure drops over night they'll still be over 100 next day. Now some of the cheap plastic faucets and valves, I would be concerned anywhere near 100 psi.

I've seen 1/2" PEX lines that were under a house and froze in cold weather have a spot the size of a golf ball where it froze. It still held pressure and didn't leak. When it thawed it went back down in size (not quite back to normal) and never leaked a drop. It's some tough stuff.

My only concern would be the connections at the joints...especially if your wife has a habit of slapping the faucet off.

PO on my coach modified the mounting of the water pump. I believe it originally came with an accumulator tank that was mounted on the floor. PO removed accumulator tank and then mounted the water pump high on the wall of the basement compartment. He did this in order to install 2 sliding drawers. He used flexible hosing to plump the pump into the Pex piping which makes it easy to disconnect pump to winterize and also helps isolate the pump to reduce noise and vibration.
