Water Pump recommendations? 2006 Monaco Diplomat

The 'new' variable speed water pumps are tempting, but at 3.5 gpm are they a good replacement for the OEM device on my Diplomat?

At least my pump is visible and easy to get at!

Thanks for any advice.

This is what I replaced my pump with

Higher volume which my wife likes.

RV AquaJet ARV at 5.3 GPM. It's variable speed, tries for constant pressure. I believe that it is considerably quieter than most pumps. We live in our coach almost 45% of the time, and it's lasting for years! We did pull it off of the mounting board and laid it on the floor of the wet bay on some of that shelf rubber waffle padding, behind the Manibloc, with ¾" hose loops on the in and out. The ONLY place we can hear the pump running at all is in the bathroom, and its very quiet, at that. Love it! If you can love a pump, that is.

I might add, we use full-coach RO water, so every gallon of water we use in the coach, or from the hose fitting in the way bay for washing the coach or the car, is pumped from the fresh tank by that pump. Very happy!

I agree with the noise issue, ours is pretty quite, it is actually mounted up high on the side of the bay and does have loops of hose to isolate it from the rest of the plumbing.

My wife likes the higher pressure/volume because she shows dogs and if she has to wash one of the Pekingese it helps to rinse he soap out.

Aqua-Jet/ Remco 5.3 gpm 10 amp water pump is the only pump I will have in my coach. There isn't anything that even comes close to being a better fit in a RV.

Yes. We had one in a previous motorhome, and installed one in the current one. MUCH quieter, and excellent flow control.

FWIW, some have posted that they like the noisy versions so they can tell if the pump is running
