Water Supply Hose Reel cannot pull out

Very difficult to access, looking to see if anyone has ideas about how to get it to release. Motor to retract works (just tapped the switch it to see if it moves and it does) .
Otherwise , it seems like and adventure to get at it. I have PDD version. It is behind the drains.

I've had this happen to me when the hose wraps to much in one place on the reel, fortunately I can reach behind the panel and hand turn the reel to get the hose out. Hasn't happen recently as long as I keep the hose wrapping on the reel evenly.

On some reels, you have to push the extend side of the switch to unlock the reel. I have that happen occasionally on mine.

Besides it stacking up on one side of the reel, I've had it come off the reel and twist around the reel support.
A real PITA to get to the reel and untangle that mess. I've learned to hold the hose and feed it back and forth evenly on the reel as it retracts.

On mine, it appears they were more concerned with finding a place it would fit, not a place it would 'work' !

Iím with Ben on his logic.

I reversed the reel so hose would unwind off bottom of reel and pass below white facia.

This works well on my Camelot, but other models may not allow such.

Yeah, I've gota do that!

Look's like it will be a pain getting access, without just carving off a piece of the white panel.
