West Coast Monaco Rally ??
Has anyone heard any news if Monaco will be holding any type of rally this year? I figure it's a little late in the year already.

Just got this on Rally
Greetings!
As the owner of a Monaco coach, you're cordially invited to Monaco RV's First Annual "New Frontier" Rally. Join us in sunny Tucson, Arizona at Beaudry RV Resort and Rally Park October 26-30, 2009 for an unforgettable experience.
We're celebrating our first combined company-hosted event as Monaco RV, a Navistar company. We have three great evenings of entertainment planned, as well as catered meals, cocktail hours, seminars, games and crafts, and for an extra fee, golf. Speaking of seminars, we'll be featuring Pat Carroll's "Men/Women Only" Q&A sessions. These sessions are faithfully attended, and year after year one of the most popular. There will also be a special seminar entitled "Navistar's Purchase of MNC." In this session, a company representative from Monaco RV and Navistar will outline the details of the former Monaco Coach Corporation's bankruptcy, the Navistar purchase, and the future ahead for Navistar and Monaco RV. The Monaco RV Parts Trailer will be on site, and Beaudry RV techs will be servicing coaches at a discounted hourly rate for those who signed up during registration. Of course, there will be new products. Our product display will be buzzing with our latest models, floorplan designs and sales representatives to answer any of your questions.
So, please join us in beautiful Tucson, Arizona as we embark on a "New Frontier" together. It'll be nice to meet new people and reconnect with old friends. Remember, all Monaco, Holiday Rambler, Beaver and Safari brand motorhomes will be welcome at the rally. If you have friends who may have another brand of coach, they are welcome to come with you. The more, the merrier. (To view and download the rally registration form in PDF format, click on the link below).

Hmmmmm... may have to seriously consider this one. We had a great time at the Monaco rally in Lancaster in March 2008.

I'll come to one of there rally's when they give me back the warranty that I lost. Sorry, I'm still mad and a simple rally that cost them nothing, doesn't help.

I would think for the first one it could be in the middle of the USA. I guess Monaco don't want people from the east. Close Indiana, Close Wildwood repairs. I was hoping for better management. But.. How about having one east and one west. I guess this limits the group.

I just got the E-mail for the "New Frontier" rally yesterday. Trying to plan a short vacation for Sep or Oct. Thanks for the replies.

There was a rally earlier this month in Ohio-I think. It didn't seem to be advertised very well...but it was the week before the FMCA rally.
Evidently the folks helping with the West Coast rally have a little more enthusiasm to let others know...

I read it as the First Combined Event. Company Event. Not the small event that is combined to the FMCA Rally. I hope the Second will be closer.

MM,
Would it be possible to put a "sticky" on this one? Possibly even renaming it to something like "Monaco 2009 Fall Gathering"?
We do not belong to the other groups mentioned and rely on iRV-2 for our RV related news. We are strongly considering attending so when it slips to "page 2" (as it soon will) it's hard to find.
Thanks for your consideration

MM, I'm, just saying...
but really the middle of the country might be best for a rally in late 2009/early 2010...and if it's held be Navistar RV instead of (Mono) you might actually have a better turn out.... Maybe even a Navistar rally "trade-in program".. There are lots of good faith owners of (Mono) who are looking/hoping that Navistar starts building the new coaches...can't ever see buying anything/ever again with a (Mono) sticker on it.....that dog just won't hunt!..sorry but, it is what it is!.... hero to zero status for a rally actually means that you can't use the same name brand and ask your base of supporters to come out and see/buy your product again....Billy May's can't even sell that product and he was was the best pitch man even...
Please, we really need Navistar RV brand to build the new coaches.. Ask around and see if you can get any positive feedback from any "good faith owners" just waiting in the wings to come to rallies and buy a brand new 2010/2011/20 whatever (Mono). I'll take that bet!...

DocUSAF...Please respect the fact that Monaco RV is the name of the new company - which is why this Rally is being called "MONACO RV'S 1st ANNUALNEW FRONTIER RALLY" . I did not choose the new name - Navistar did. You can write to them here to voice your opinion, if you like.
Monaco has always held 2 yearly rallies -one on each side of the US. I am guessing they will continue to do the same. (They held a rally in Ohio in July - just a couple of months ago.)
This thread was bumped at the request of H. Miller...not to rehash the fact that many folks are dissatisfied that Monaco Coach is no more. By the way...I will be posting this information later tonight on the Rally Calendar here on iRV2. You can find all sorts of rally info there!

I have noticed that there has been no mention of the factory techs doing two free repair items for rally goers. I know this has always been a goodwill gesture, and it seems fairly traditional for manufacturers to offer at rallies. It would be sad to see this little benefit be gone completely from future Monaco rallies.
