Wet Bay Question

Hey Monacoers!

I have had a spoutless faucet since I have owned my coach. I've tried several hose connector types, but cannot figure out what will work with this thread that is a little bigger than a garden hose thread (see attached image where I can only partially thread on a garden hose).

Any thoughts?

Of course it is not threaded for a garden hose. It is threaded for a nut to hold the faucet spout on.

Replace the faucet with an old style laundry sink faucet. They often have spouts threaded for garden hose fittings.

Replace the faucet with individual laundry hook up faucets. They are designed to connect garden faucet fittings.

Ah! That makes sense! Thanks for that suggestion. I will remove the panel and see what is involved with replacing the faucet.

We have the same faucet. What happens is someone not thinking leaves the faucet spout extended outward and slams the bay door. It crushes the spout.

If you can find a similar faucet just replace the spout as removing that panel is a pain!

If it’s a common problem - I think I would try to figure out how to put a different style faucet in there to prevent the problem from happening again.
Then, no matter how difficult the removal of the wet bay panel is, it only has to be done once.

FWIW - I had to rebuild the wet bay piping on our ‘02 GeorgieBoy - I figured out a way to use flex hoses to connect all the coach side piping to the wet bay panel piping so as to allow subsequent repairs easier.

I agree with a modern replacement, however a pipe thread may fit that which would open up a whole new set of options.

It is definitely not a pipe thread. It is a faucet spout. The thread is a machine screw thread designed to seal with a gasket and allow the spout to rotate.

This is your missing piece...should be able to find it at any good plumbing store. Measure the threads before you go. Searching for the spout may not be easy but guarantee it will be easier than getting that panel apart.

I'm on it! I'll report back and share what I am able to find!

I just had to locate one of these spouts for my son. They come in various lengths. Try this website for the part you’re looking for.
