Wet Bay Snap Disc
Looking to replace my snap disc in my wet bay compartment. We have a 2007 Monaco Knight PDQ. I have yet to find the snap disc after looking for an extended time but I know it is somewhere in the wet bay compartment. I have checked the heater and it works fine when 12V is applied to the white wire.
I would also like to know where to purchase a replacement snap disc. I have the Monaco part number 14415621 but I can't find one on the Internet. I know it is a 12V disc that opens at 40 degrees and closes at 55 degrees.
Any help is appreciated.

Dave,
Mine was dangling from the 2 attached wires on the middle right side, behind the panel. It was not secured to anything.
A large mirror and a bright light might help you find it in the mess of wires back there. Or, you could fish around back there and see if it drops down like mine did.
It could be anywhere back there, behind the dump pipes or just behind the panel. It depends on who installed it the day the coach came down the line.
Since there is no set place for it to be, happy hunting!

Harry, I used a drop light and mirror to try and locate the snap disc. I am now looking to the left of the water hose reel. I need to enlarge the hole a little to gain access for my hand to fit. I do not want to remove the plastic panel. I would rather use a drop light and 60W bulb to keep things warm then tackle that task. I still need to find a replacement snap disc online.

What's a "Snap Disc".
Something to do with the heating of the wet bay in cold weather?

CountryB-
The "snap disk" is a coin-shaped thermostat, about the size of a quarter. On Monacos it's wired between a low-current switched 12V power source and the activation coil of a relay that supplies higher-current 12V to the electric bay heater and/or tank heating pads. The discs are not adjustable, coming in fixed temperature ranges; the "typical" Monaco ones are built usually set to close (complete the circuit) around 35 deg. F and open around 45 deg. F..
The snap disk on our coach was not far from the bay heater. Its small size makes it easy to miss when surrounded by wire in 1/2-inch loom. Some Monacos have the disc fastened to the wet bay structure.

Snap Disk
You might try Ebay.Do a search by either part number or use snap disk with only the cut in and cut out temp. I found some for our refrigerator fans.Price from china was about $5.00 for 5.Everyone else wanted About $9.00 each.So long as you can wait for the slow boat from china. You also might try to google only snap disk and temp.

Yes --> Snap Disc Thermostat | eBay
but I still don't trust it and just use this combo:
this bulb
in this holder
plug into this thermo cube
testing with my temp gun, it stayed a toasty 46 degrees in my bays in 15 degree weather

I had trouble finding mine too. Mostly because of the size. All the posts I saw described it as the size of a quarter. Mine was in the upper left wet bay panel on the back panel that is deep in the wet bay shelf. It was smaller than a dime.

Found the Disc hiding in the upper back right corner of the wet bay. I use an electronic cooler spray on the disc to see if the heater would activate, nothing happened. I then jump a wire across the disc and the heater activated, so I know the disc is bad. Ordered another one off eBay. Awaiting delivery. I will relocate the disc to a more easier area for access. Thanks to all that responded.

Just in case,
it will only operate with the System Heat switch turned on at the main panel

Mine was tucked up behind the white panel in the wet bay. Once I found it I moved it so it would be more accessible, which comes in handy when you are checking the system. The RV300 12 volt heater is prone to failure so if I am prepping to use the coach in cooler weather I will bypass the snap disc and make sure it is working. I keep a dual spad connector in the wet bay just for that purpose.
I have a switch in the panel above the passenger seat. When you turn it on the red light does not come on, only when the temp gets colder does the light come on.
I've been camping in my coach for the last ~6 months while building with temps getting close to 0F several nights. During these periods the light would flicker on/off constantly showing the heater was keeping the wet bay warmer. I keep 2 remote temp sensors monitoring the temps in 2 places, one in the opposite side of the wet bay and one in the bay with the water pump, water heater, and water manifold.
