I finally got some time (retirement is tough) to snoop around the inside of the motorhome. I found a silver box (~12"x12"x6") in a cabinet under the dining table. I couldn't believe what it was. Anybody want to hazard a guess?

A visual--and it's not a "box" of scotch.

Flyer,
I'll take a stab at it. Is it your sound system's sub-woofer? Ours is located in that exact location.

Although your motorhome is a newer model by 2 years that may be what it is.

I was invisioning something really pretty, silver, etched or ornately carved treasure.

We have one of those 'boxes' under our dinette seat. You can really feel it when the surround sound is turned up loud.

OK...either you guys got cheated and got a smaller sub-woofer than us (ours is abt 12x18x8) ..or he is talking about the "silver colored plastic bin that has all the owners manuals in it!

Hi Roy/Flyer -

Yup, as the others have said, it is definitely your subwoofer.

I originally had one of those in my coach too, but tossed it because it was taking up too much space and replaced it with another smaller one I had kicking around in the garage. Sound was actually better with the new one (it's a Philips).

See ya,
Ron

The prize you won is in Eugene OR. A pile of KARMA from MM. The only glitch is shipping is not included. I'm about to do what RonBoc (Cheers, Ron) did--toss it. I upped the volume on the sub woofer and it only adds something when the cabinet door is open.

This what Ronboc found in his garage to replace the Monaco subwoofer. He has to run his generator to power it up.

The sub above is 6 ft tall, has 4 12" and 2 15" speakers. Rock on Ronboc
