What Izzit?

This is above the driver side front tire. Made of a very tough plastic and appears to be a sort of cover. Not sealed against moisture. There is not one on the passenger side. It became dislodged somehow and contacts the tire when the bags are deflated.

It is a weather cover for your slide roller.

Ahhhhh, ok, thanks. I could not see the area well enough to determine what was in there.

I re-seated the cover using a strip of metal and a sell-tapping screw.

I had issues with the stock height of the cover with 295/80 tires. I made a 1/2" shorter cover and now have about 1/4" of clearance when aired down. My damaged unit looked just like yours when I noticed it.

Did you just go back with a flat piece of material? I cannot see why they have this "seedling-box" setup.

There is an adjustment bolt on either end of the assembly which protrudes lower than the roller. You could just build a box deep enough to cover the adjustment bolts. The front bolt is the one that creates the interference.

I built a stainless steel 2 piece "seedling-box". The stainless allows for a strong, yet thinner assembly.
