In the box with the shock there was an instruction sheet that gave installation instructions. Also, go online and look up installation instructions for Koni, 90-series shocks. They state in the instructions to check the shocks to verify the lowest setting. It tells how to do that. I followed their guidance and left them at the lowest setting. So far, I am happy with the ride.
You can call Ultra RV and get a briefing from them if you are still unsure of how to do the set-up.

Acetylene torch to heat the nut. If you break the stud off you're in trouble.

I have an older Itasca motorhome and ran into the same problem when I replaced my shocks this past spring and had to admit defeat after struggling with them for an hour or so. I took mine to a local tire shop where they have the right equipment and they were able to change them in really short order. Probably the best $120 I've spent in a lone time!

Well I removed the oem yellow front shocks, that had 50,000 miles on them and were 18 years old.
Installed new koni EVO shocks, they were almost twice as thick and one weight as much both of the old ones.
I am sorry to say the wife or I did NOT notice much different in the ride?
I have to say the motor home did ride very good before,I replaced the shocks because everyone said we would feel a much better ride,Oh well it was just over $ 550.00 to find out.
