Where can I check a VIN number for used RV?
Hi Folks! I'd like to check out a used coach and I have the VIN number, where is a reasonable website to get a report on this coach? It's at a dealer and I want to find the owner before I make an offer on this coach. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is no one central location to check on VIN's as there are no industry, state or Federal laws in place that require reporting on RV's and not many on cars. Nothing requires anything to be reported to even Carfax on cars and even less so on RV's.
Federal privacy laws also protect the previous owner from being identified unless they give permission.

We have checked several RV VIN numbers thru CarFax. One even showed a vehicle that had a salvage title due to flood and water damage. Well worth the investment.

I've also used CarFax. They have a money back guarantee if you are not happy.
Finding the previous owner may be difficult. CarFax will tell you locations and dates, but not names. If you can examine the title, it may have the previous owners name on it as most dealers do not transfer the title until sold.

In my state (FL) if you go the DMV website, you can put in the serial number and get a look at the current title info (name of lien holder, tag number, vehicle weight and color, and odometer mileage and date read).
Such as here: https://services.flhsmv.gov/MVCheckWeb/
