who knows where wires are for water in fuel

Ran up from hill country on 281 and found a little rain and the water in fuel light came on but no performance issues, turbo press good lots of power, ran a steady 65 mph. Got north of ft worth and sunshine and light went out when coach was dry. I will guess that the wires go to sensor on bottom of primary fuel filter and contacts got wet. Looked and could not see wires anyone know where sensor might be?

It got so windy when I got to i35 I shutdown at windstar and will go back at it tomorrow and try for Joplin.

You probably have 2 fuel filters. On mine there is one with clear bowl at the bottom and the other has a wiring harness attached. The one with the wiring harness is for the water in fuel. You can unscrew the fitting at the bottom and drain some fuel and water from the filter. May also try and blowing out he wiring harness to see if it clears the fault.

We get that on our '06 Dynasty when we run in significant road surface water or slush. I am completely convinced that it was due to water on the terminals of the connector on the bottom of the sensor on the above mentioned fuel filter. It is sensing water, all right, but thankfully its on the terminals and not in the fuel bowl.
