Why Does the Turbo Boost Gauge Have Negative Numbers?
The turbo boost gauge in my Dynasty is marked in 5 lb increments in a clockwise direction (5, 10, 15 etc) and 10 lb increments in a counter clockwise direction (10, 20, 30). It has zero in the middle and I've never seen the needle move left of zero. Is that even possible? If so, what would cause it?

Multi-use gauge for GAS and Diesel Models.
Gas will pull vacuum and have boost if turbo/supercharger used
Diesel will only have boost with turbo

A turbo engine still pulls a vacuum at idle and decel. It will only have positive boost pressure when the turbo generates more cfm's than the engine consumes.

Might check didn't think diesels create vacuum like gas engines.

Your correct. A diesel can't create vacuum without some sort of restriction in. Some older diesels had throttle plates that created vacuum, but that's a long time ago. Nothing like that now, especially on moho's. Not enough to run any accessories, for sure.
today diesels have vacuum pumps to run anything requiring a vacuum.

Added note,
I guess if you have a dirty air filter, you'll create a restriction, thus creating a vacuum.

No intake manifold..no vacuum on diesel
No throttle..no vacuum
Diesel is operated WOT with fuel/air metered.
Restricted air inlet........lack of power but still no vacuum
