Why would outlet above sink keep tripping?

For some reason, the outlet above my bathroom sink keeps tripping. Wondering what might be causing this? Usually it just trips the GFCI Outlet but today it actually tripped the panel switch.

It's never been a big deal as I can just reset it but I'd like to figure out what is the root cause.

So with nothing plugged in it just trips by itself? And nobody plugging in anything anywhere in the RV?

Voltage or current overload. Or the GFCI may need to be replaced.

We are preparing for our trip so I started up the norcold on AC mode. Also, my 8 year old daughter was watching "My Little Pony" on the DVR.

Those were the only things that were plugged in and running at the time that it tripped.

Check the Ice Maker.

If not it is probably the GFI plug. Had to replace mine last year.

Check the outside outlet. Sometimes constant water getting in them causes them to rust enough to cause your problem.

X2, on the ice maker ; after helping chase a similar issue; bathroom GFCI tripping ; on a friend's 99 Diplomat , with Norcold ; caught up to a mobile RV tech working in the park , he said ;"defrost the ice maker , if that isn't it call me "

Tripping the circuit breaker you may be looking at a shorting heater element in the fridge. .

You could also run an extension cord from your house and plug the Norcold into it and see if the tripping stops or moves to the sticks and bricks house.

The icemaker is usually on a separate circuit from the refrigerator. Look under the outside access panel and there may be two separate outlets. I believe the icemaker is actually labeled as GFI.
