Mine are sealed all the way around. I assume you're referring to the area where the frame fits in the fiberglass? If yours aren't calked it's probably because the line moved before the guy that did that was on his potty break!!

My 04 Lapalma is not caulked. There is just the seal between the window frame and the body.
However, I am not full body painted. None of my prior MHs had window frame to body caulking. I will assume the caulking is for a smooth transition for full body paint.

Interesting set of replies, ranging from an 02 that is factory sealed to an 04 and my 07 that is not factory sealed and an 08 that is.
Seems to be pretty much hit or miss at the factory.
Guess I'll just go up and seal the ones on our coach whether they need it or not!!

My 06 HR Endeaver windows are sealed with no known leaks. I think that is a good thing!

Hi SacsTC -
Glad to see you around.
My '06 Endeavor has silicone-type caulk on the edge between the window-frame and the body - but only along the tops of the windows/door. Otherwise, the only seal is a frame-to-body seal-tape that goes around the entire frame and laps slightly in (In other words, there is a slight gap (maybe 1/8") between the frame and the body, and you can barely see a black material in there - almost like a 'gasket' if you will).
This is the same construction I had on a SOB before this one, but that one had a thinner 'gasket' and it had gaps where, when you took off the inside window-frame (but be careful the outside frame/window didn't fall out - ask me sometime how I know this!!), you could see daylite. I bring that up as a possible suggestion for OURTIME, as he has what sounds like the problems I did. Water would channel down from the top of the frame and find its way into the coach, running a long ways away from where the actual leak was.
HTH,
Ron

I just checked mine, it appears that the top and vertical sides are caulked but the bottom does not appear to have been caulked, at least not from the outside.

Sacs,
I saw your request, but I figured you got enough replies.
Actually, you're right, it's the least I coulda done, seeing has how you once got down on your hands and knees with your face in the toilet for me. I'll look tomorrow.

Actually, I got enough that I'm going to seal them anyway, but I was curious about the others in our Dip line-up and since I saw you were here at the board, I couldn't resist...

You just had to bring that up, didn't ya !!!

Hey SacsTC -
Any thoughts on why abray's bottoms (uhhh... of his windows, that is ) aren't sealed? Would it help to drain any water that got in between the frame and the body?
