windshield electric shades

Our 2009 Camelot has an electric sun and blackout shade across the windshield. One of the shades will only go up or down about one inch when the switch is pushed and no longer comes up and down while holding the switch in the respective position so you have to push the switch about 30 times to lower or retract the shade. I replaced the switch to no avail. My dealer said the shade was made by MCD but it isn't one of theirs. Does anyone know the manufacturer Monaco was using for the front shades in late 2008 when our coach was made, our have suggestions as to how to repair the shade?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I suspect the switch is he problem. As a momentary switch it should pass 12 volt as long as it is held down. Use a test light to see if the current is constant to the motor.

You might have Carefree shades. Look inside through windshield as there should be a label identifying if they are carefree.

Should be Carefree, if looking from outside in standing in front. Are there two shades, do they have like a scissor structure or frame work.
Again I would check switch, if pushed down you should have 12v.

Not a Camelot but my wiring diagram shows 2 relays in the front run box, one for each side.

Had same issue with my windshield shades. 1 was replaced under warranty cured the problem I kept the old one and tried to use it as side window shade installed new momentary contact switch shade still does not work does the same thing only moves 1 inch at a time with a press of the switch. Believe the problem lies within the shade motor itself.

My shades were doing the same thing.

Manufactured by AutoMotionShade.

I was unable to repair the shades since AutoMotion doesn't sell parts so I bought tube motors from RollerTroll and used a piece of 1 1/4 thinwall conduit for the roller. Fit right back into the same housing and brackets.

Much cheaper than buying new shades and work just fine.
