If one side works and the other doesn't that rules out a fuse problem as both come off the same fuse.


My wife had a bad habit of piling stuff on her passenger side console where the shade switch is. When I had a problem with the passenger side I pulled the shade down and took it apart, the motor had gotten so hot it started to melt the plastic. Had to physically pry the motor off the plastic. Tested the motor and it was dead so that is found the replacement in the link I previously posted. I suspect that at some point my DW put something across the console that held the switch down.
