Windshield has popped out of the track

I have a 2006 Monaco Camelot 40 PDQ with a Panaview single pane windshield. I purchased the unit 3 years and and the windshield has been fine up until now. On this trip, I started hearing an air leak in the bottom right corner and now the bottom right of the windshield is outside of the frame running about 3 inches up and 3 inches across at the corner. There is a gap of about 1/2 inch with daylight showing.

I have tried leveling the coach at various angles using the air leveling system and can tighten the gaps when the front right corner is dipped down but it won't move the windshield back into the track.

I have called a mobile RV windshield repair company who will come to me in Yuma but they want $800 to take the windshield out and reset it.

I have read other threads about this issue but nothing stands out.

We are going the Quartzite for "The Show" next week and might ask around there.

Any other suggestions or ideas?

I had the same thing happen to me... the only correct way to fix it is to have the windshield removed and reinstalled correctly.
Mine cost about $550. I had them use extra adhesive when they fixed it and so far, I haven't had another problem with it.

Should be removed to be correctly repositioned.

More Than a Remount May be Required

I'm no expert, but i do know one: Andy Rothman. Andy is factory trained RV windshield expert. He's mobile out of Tucson, and I'm sure he travels closer to Yuma now and then.

I have had this conversation with Andy, and he knows how to fix your problem, which may involve gluing portions of the channel to the glass and/or the motorhome. Andy is, without doubt, the most experienced and knowledgeable tech I've met when it comes to windshield problems, and he's right in your neck of the woods:

Give Andy a call -- you won't be disappointed!

I had the same thing happen two days ago!! on my 2008 Monaco Knight! I called the auto glass installers around New Orleans and found one who told me he has fixed at least a dozen in his career> He has offered to take it out and reinstall for $300!!
He also said glueing in certain sections solves the problem!!

I have an appointment for tomorrow!!!

I had the same thing happen. Windshield place told me that if they could put it back in WITHOUT removing it, it would be $200. If they had to completely remove it, it would be $400. They did it for $200. Never had another problem until I broke it going over a 6" curb (torquing the front). This was 6-7 years ago in Mpls.

Why not let your insurance company deal with it, it's a comp claim and move on

I agree with Thomas. Andy at SuperGlass in Tucson is the most knowledgable/experienced RV glass person. He has a self-built adjustable scaffold that fits around the front of the coach so they can get the glass in perfect.
