Windshield replacement

We had someone back into our coach in storage. Several deep scratches and numerous cracks in passenger side windshield.
Person responsible actually contacted lot owner and told them about it and have been really decent about us making an insurance claim.
What I am looking for is what to watch for in the windshield replacement? Our coach is a 2002 monaco monarch 32'. We love it completely and plan to run it as long as possible and want to be sure of a proper repair.
Thanks for any input!

Does your Monarch have tinted windshield at the top. If it does I would want to make sure the tinting matches. My guess is a replacement won't match and it will look out of place.

Not sure if they have to pull both windshields to replace just one or not. They'll have to pull the broken windshield out of the gasket. I'd inspect the area at the break for any damage to the fiberglass and/or support on the inside. The gasket has to seal to the fiberglass so you don't want any damage that could result in a leak in the future.

Confirm what kind of warranty comes with replace as fare as leaks etc.

I had a rock break my windshield back in 2009. I reported to my insurance and they arranged for a replacement from a reputable large windshield replacement company, however, they subcontracted to a local shop who did not do a good job. The next year on a trip the windshield start to shift, a ~1/4" opening developed on the passenger side lower corner. I contacted the original company and they agreed to reset.

A few years ago, we chipped our front windshield. It's a 1 piece and took 3 guys to replace it. I called Custom Glass Solutions 1 855 362-2784. As I recall, they put me in contact with a local company who really knew what they were doing.
