Windshield replacement, Monaco

I had a new windshield installed in my 2007 38' d, first rain storm it leaked. Rv glass company returned and resealed the glass. Next rain storm it leaked again. Called the glass company back and they say the fiberglass has shrunk on both sides of the glass and the only way to fix is to have a repair shop extend both sides of the glass frame about 1 inch. Has anyone had this problem?? Please let me know if you have had this happen, thank you, tc:

Wrong glass

Either the wrong glass was put in or the manufacturer of the glass didn't exactly copy the dimensions of the original. Your not shrinking 2 inches

That sounds like a BS excuse to me! I would try to get them back out to fix it. I would also put their name on every forum I could so other people see their bad customer service. Please post their name as I am getting ready to have a windshield replaced.

Sounds like the wrong windshield was ordered...fiberglass doesn't shrink 2 inches !!

Getting a new windshield installed on ours on the passenger side due to a chip and now a long crack. I have State Farm and will pay the deductible. State Farm uses Duncan Systems for the windshield and then they got me a repair shop here in Knoxville to replace it. The drivers side will get removed but re-installed as the weatherstripping is going bad.

Did they use a new gasket, or try to reuse the old one?
Unfortunately most glass companies try to replace large motor home windshields just like they would in a car. The insurance companies are not helping by refusing to pay the extra labor required.
I had a similar issue with the windshield in our Windsor. I found Andy in Tucson to repair it. He has a special scaffold to place in front of the coach and years of RV experience.

I've also had work done at RV Glass Solutions. They specialize in RV glass. They have locations in Phoenix, Oregon, and Florida. 888 777-6778
