Windshield washer question

Hi all:

Recently took our '05 Dip out and when I went to wash windshield, fluid spurted everywhere except on windshield. There are a couple of small cracks in the washer tubing, but the washer tip itself (on both arms) was loose. I can't believe that these tips are meant to ride loose on the inside of the wiper arms, but the tubing won't allow the tips to move "upward" toward the end of the wiper blade, where it looks like it fits in a little square housing.

Anyone else have these issues? Could the tubing have shrunk length-wise that much with four years of use?

Thanks for any insights,

T

Doc, Could be. My tubing seems to have shrunk length-wise, as I've gotten older. Fortunately, in your case, you can probably just replace the tubing at an auto parts store.
