Yes, I suppose it make sense as I said myself the fluid is either on one side pushing out or on other side pushing in.
That being said, I read a manual talk about the proper way to replace oil is to remove cylinder hoses. But it is too much trouble. I don't have any leaks, just doing a routine maintenance. I will just suck oil out from surge tank and put new oil in.

Do you happen to know how much oil it holds?
