Parking on cement and tire care

[moderator edit] I have been told when parking on cement you need to put a separator between the tires and the cement, I was told using old placemats, however anything that stops the leeching from tire to cement would do... pieces of tarp, rubber sheet, old shower curtain or ???
Have a great trip.

I would add this one (tires on concrete) [moderator edit] Maybe if the concrete surface was powder, I might add something to separate. My tires sit on concrete 6+ months/year and at 10 years I put them on the back of my dump truck.
Should we not drive on concrete roads?

Putting your tires on your dump truck after ten years, heck if I could pull it off I would put them on my pick up
I would be willing to bet many of removed rv tires end up finishing there days (or tread life) on a different vehicle, or on a different border.

Most tire manufacturers recommend not storing tires on concrete or in wet environments. So a wood or other material between the tire and concrete is advisable.

If you dig deeper re tire storage I believe the enemy is moisture not dry concrete. I think you will find lots of tires in warehouses on concrete.
That said a barrier is an easy step so no real reason to not do it if in doubt.
I also inflate to / close to max pressure & remove weight via jacks or blocks before dumping suspension.
