Wiper and Cruise Problem
I have a 2003 Monaco Dynasty Princess and I cannot get my wipers to turn off. To top this off my cruise control will not turn off either nor will it engage. I ended up pulling over and pulled the wiper fuse. Does anyone have an idea what I can do to fix these two problems.

Sounds like you might have a SmartWheel issue. Check the connections in the outside bay under the driver side. There is a Smartwheel controller on the right side; perhaps the connections are loose/corroded.

You may try to do some trouble shooting for the VIP Smartwheel.
Here is the website for the VIP
Technical Support | Vehicle Improvement Products Inc.
Go down the page and find your steering wheel, it has a troublehooting guide you can download.

Thanks Burgy, When you said your did the same thing was the cruise control staying on with you being unable to engage it and were you wipers staying on continually without you being able to turn them off? Did you install the clockspring yourself or have someone do it for you.?

Thanks leemanpa, I was just told that may be the issue by a RV Tech. Now to go out to the MH and find the controller.

wipers were coming on when turned hard right/left at first then they just came on and stayed on.. Also had no light functions from the wheel..
I replace it myself, will need a wheel puller and make sure the wheels are straight and mark the wheel and shaft so you know you get it back on the right spline.

Burgy, is there a web site or video that will walk me through the replacement? I haven't been able to find one. Thanks again for your help.

Here is a link to where you can purchase
https://www.rvchassisparts.com:8443/...is/runApp?id=5
This is the only place I've found to buy (never had to buy one though).
Go here and in the select file # 1900043
Service Parts | Douglas Autotech Corporation
This will show you how to change the clock spring.
I have a copy of this in my files for the motorhome

Lonny
Please keep us posted on your fix as to whether the clock spring was bad and if so how difficult to change. Always good to follow up on a post.

The attached document shows how.. the clock spring come pre-centered and taped. that is why you need the wheels straight ahead. it's not hard just go slow and "MARK" the shaft and wheel so you get it back on the right spline!
