Wired Intercom system

Is there a wired duplex intercom I could install a DW and I are not hearing as well as we once did. I know the bikers have blue tooth sets but they require a module in there helmet. Just throwing the question.

There are so many options at so many prices that you'd do best to Google 'wireless interom system' and see what turns up. Some would be fine in a 'noisy' RV driving down the road, others wouldn't. In addition, you have your own hearing issues that really need to be considered. Some intercoms might be weak in the frequencies you need for clarity. The reason I suggest wireless is they are much easier to move to where your wife is in the RV, besides one can be taken outside when needed. You can also Google just 'intercom' and more variations will come up.

Oddly, wired systems are more expensive than wireless, from what I've seen. Clear-com makes excellent wired systems, you need the headsets, belt packs and a "central system" to provide power and that gets pretty pricey. I used Clear-com for over 20 years when I worked in theater and liked their equip. Just wondering if you've considered those 'hearing aids" things I've seen advertised on tv? They are just amplifiers and amplify all sounds, including ambient noise but are only 20 or 30 bucks each. Might be an alternative and cheap to experiment with. As a side note, I am familiar with your difficulties; having the same "hard of hearing" problems myself. I say "huh" a lot.

Aircraft have had this system for many years. Two headsets of choice and a small control box. Also the radio can be wired in so you don't need silence in the headset. They are VOX controlled so send sound when speaking, if they work in a noisy aircraft it will be good for the RV. Look on line or a t an aircraft radio shop.
