Yes, Shocks needed, what Bilstein # ???

2011 Monaco Knight 40 PBQ. According to the said model brochure Roadmaster RR8R chassis. Though mine has the side radiator so wonder if actually a RR8S?
but anyway, don't really see what difference that may make as far as shocks go. I've done my due diligence in trying to find part numbers for the shocks in the Bilstein brand meaning numerous websites catering to motorhome shocks and have come up empty as far as my specific model. I've seen numerous shock model numbers even for the RR8R chassis and or other models of the Monaco lineup but not specifically the Knight model.

I've also done my due diligence in comparing this brand with the Koni brand and have made up my mind. They both have their plus's and minus's but I've already decided. Just being pre-emptive as I know some will swear by the Koni's and no ill respect to any such on my part.

Any knowledge greatly appreciated

If your coach has a side rad, and no tag axle, I'm pretty sure it's on a RR8S chassis.

They don't seem to have an 8 bagger chassis listed, but call them.

So, I ordered what I needed with there help a week ago now and response has been very bad with only the initial receipt given to date though I have tried to reach out to them with questions about shipping and status but no response! Today a week later I think my credit card has been charged though the name on that seems suspicious....

Iceclimber, what are your feelings on your new shocks. I'm getting to the point of replacing mine also.

Thanks,

Ed

Still waiting after almost two weeks without a word until I pressed them on the status and they said front shocks on backorder until 10/5. Communication terrible as far as this site is concerned.

Shock Warehouse

I had the same experience with Shock Warehouse. I or4der Koni's 3 months ago. The front shocks they had in stock about a week to get them. The backs were back ordered. I just got them 3 months later. They most of the time did not answer the phone. I would leave messages they would not call me back. Their customer service is awful.

Shock warehouse does not have the best reputation. Not the first time that I've read of problems there. If it were me I would cancel the credit card and move on.

Summit Racing is a decent source.

The "lifetime" warranty on Bilstein shocks does not include just wearing out. They have to break or leak.
