Zip-Dee Awning
Sorry about the plethora of posts..here's another.
We have a Zip-Dee main awning and the previous owner stated they never used it.
Well today i opened it up and frankly it sucks compared to the AE awning I'm used to. While the fabric on the Zip-Dee is better quality it takes two people to open and has lots of steps to open it. Very clunky operation with connecting J hooks to the awning rail, especially since i'm not tall and don't expect to have to get a ladder out to open my awning.
Also, the awning spring needs to be replaced since it will not retract on its own.
Anyone have a similar experience with the use of their Zip-Dee?
This is my first Zip-Dee main awing but if they are all like this, why would anyone choose them?
Second question: has anyone added an electric awning to their coach?
