1st Annual Kool Kids Kampout

Hi All,

The 1st Annual Kool Kids Kampout is just some Excel owners getting together during the summer for some fellowship and good times.

The dates will be Thursday July 30 through Monday August 3rd. If you want to attend I need the date you are going to show up and the date you will leave. I also need the length of your coach and if you want 50 or 30 amp service. You can either post it here or PM me.

If you are open for that weekend, lets go camping. We are in the final stages of getting together at the Pueblo South / Colorado City KOA located in the southeast corner of I-25 and Exit 74. If you want to attend you need to contact me by Friday July 24th.

If you want 50 amp service or a larger site it will be $37.40 a night. If you only want 30 amp service and your rig is 34 ft or less it is $32.72 a night.

Remember, this is not a sponsored Excel event, it is just a bunch of friends getting together during the summer. You will need to provide all of your own food and supplies, we will not have the use of the rec hall other than maybe the campground might have an event for everyone in the campground.

If you would like to stay in a cabin instead of pulling your rig those MIGHT be available, but that is an outside guess.

As most KOAs they have lots of activities if you want to participate in them.

We have a mystery guest that will be bringing beef BBQ from a local county fair. They cook the beef in a pit and usually have some "bundles of beef" left over after the fair. These bundles weigh about 12 lbs each. The bundles cost about $25.00 and at $2.00/lb is a real bargin. Would everyone like to chip in and get a bundle or so for the camp out. Would save on cooking something and BBQ is always fast and good. Let me know by Thursday the 23rd of July.

Let me know if you want it and how many bundles, remember we will be at the KOA for about 4 nights. We could do a potluck one or two of the nights and use the BBQ, with everyone donating to the cause it would be about $3.00/PERSON.

A hint or Fall in the air? Is it time to be thinking of going south?
