Doug,
AND, I'm very happy that Virg is "really happy" after his trying ordeal with the water leak!
Seriously, I can relate to your panic braking situation and that's one of the reasons we went to a larger TV. We were coming down Black Mountain on I-40 outside Asheville, NC and had a similar experience in our F-350 -- wife stood on the brakes and we able to avoid collision with a semi. Scared the heck out of her!

Doug,
WOW, Glad you are OK. Money can fix a rig but can't always mend a body.

Doug,
So glad you guys are OK. Iron is fairly easy to fix, people are not. We've had 2 emergency stop situations in our 3+ years out. It ain't no fun.
After things calm down...give us some of the details....you know us an** type need the details! Hugs to Jutta! Rockin'

Thanks for the concern, guys. Jutta is fine. The Rabbit has four wheel disc brakes. She doesn't follow too close to me.
One of the Cops said that there was a fatal accident in just about the same spot last night. There is a lot of road distruction going on, and one of the lane shifts just isn't marked well. Three traffic lanes shifting to the right, and then there is an on ramp too! (I think they need to cone the on ramp to make them stop, but what do I know!!)
I just barely hit the guy in front of me, but he creamed the guy in front of him, who was cut off by someone entering the highway.
